On July 23, 2025. This new MPV model, Cortez DARION, is developed based on a new energy architecture and fully incorporates the "Heaven, Spirit, and Deity" series of technologies. According to previous information, the Wuling Starlight 730 will be available in both pure electric and fuel-powered versions. The pure electric version is built on the Tianyu architecture, equipped with Lingxi power and Shenlian batteries. The new model is scheduled to be launched in the fourth quarter of this year.
The fuel-powered version of the new model features a "large-mouth" grille design, while the pure electric version retains only the lower grille. The LED daytime running lights on both sides have a double-layer horizontal bar design, which is highly recognizable. The front bumper also includes air intake channels on both sides.
In terms of dimensions, the new model measures 4,910 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, and 1,770 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,910 mm. The side of the vehicle features a sliding door design, with the track hidden along the lower edge of the window. The interior is configured with a 7 - seat layout. The taillights echo the design of the headlights when illuminated, and the tailgate opens at a wide angle, facilitating the loading and unloading of luggage.
Regarding powertrains, the fuel - powered model is equipped with a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 130 kW. The plug - in hybrid model will feature a combination of a 1.5L engine and an electric motor, with the engine delivering a maximum power of 78 kW. The pure electric model's motor has a maximum power of 100 kW, and all energy storage devices use lithium - iron - phosphate batteries. Previously, the battery and range information of the Wuling Starlight 730 was disclosed. It is equipped with 54.5/60 kWh batteries, with CLTC pure electric ranges of 450/500 km. The total mass of the power battery is 384/424 kg, and the curb weight of the vehicle is 1,760/1,810 kg.
